The Gardens












Immersive Gardens is a unique, theatrical and sensory experience – suitable for large community spaces, studios and theatres.
The themed experience encompasses sound and light installations, sensory boxes, dress up props and accessible technology. Attendees navigate the space in their own time to explore the creative stations. The event is accessible to a multitude of needs, including those with complex and profound learning disabilities. The space offers moments for self regulation, as well as more dynamic and energised experiences. Whilst the event is designed with additional needs in mind, we encourage all members of the community to attend – our gardens offer all audiences a special theatrical experience.
Our gardens vary slightly based on the time of year. In the spring you will find budding flowers and rain soundscapes. Summer brings blooming flowers, bird song and parasols. Autumn is littered with falling leaves and glowing pumpkins. Winter brings frozen snowballs and festive fairy lights.
Specifications
Delivery Team Requirements:
Get in and set up time required – Up to 6 hours, preferably the day before the event.
Access and parking – Access and parking is required for 1 medium sized van and up to two cars.
Space requirements – The space needs to be empty of all material with access to electrics. Access to theatrical lighting and internal sound system is preferable but not compulsory. Ability to reduce natural light from windows and external doors is essential. The space needs to be secure (with no audience access) during the set up time, to meet our risk assessments. We suggest that venues provide a separate breakout space for audiences where possible, this can be beneficial for those who require a less stimulating space to decompress. We would require photos of the space ahead of the event.
Performer requirements: Access to one changing room is essential.
Tech Specifications:
- Playing space – In order to accommodate the full installation, an empty space of 8m x 12m is required. However the installation can be reduced in size depending on your requirements.
- Support required from the hosting venue – Access to chairs, running water and electricity. (The garden installations are suitable for the outdoors)
- Running time: Up to 3 x 1 hour experiences in 1 day, a 30 minute break is required between each experience
- Capacity – Depending on the size of the space, Immersive Spaces can usually host around 40 attendees at a time.
